Twingrace is a very kind and gentle person, as we who follow various community diaries know all too well. Therefore it is particularly saddening to learn that she has been enduring great pain for a long, long time.
Moreover, for much of that time the reality of her pain was dismissed by her doctors which undoubtedly caused her a distress of another kind and, at times, self-doubt. After years of suffering, finally she was sent to the proper specialist, a urologist. That doctor discovered a distorted piece of metal (most likely a surgical clip that had somehow migrated) inside her bladder where it was doing a lot of continual damage.
I can’t even imagine how excruciating that must have been.
At last the problem has been addressed but the injury is not ever likely to heal completely. That being said, twingrace is now free of the foreign object and all her physicians know now that her pain has a very real cause.
This lady has been through a lot. It has been an absolutely horrible journey for her. But we love her very much — so let’s make her a community quilt full of loving words as well as cheerful colors, something to keep her warm and to comfort her anytime she might feel a little low or burdened by pain. Let’s let her know she has our abiding love and support, always.
Please leave a message for twingrace in the comments and I will {{{{hug}}}} you to let you know I have it on my list. Your message will be transcribed in archival ink on muslin and become a part of the quilt.
It takes lots of time and material to make a community quilt and it is a living for me and my sister. If you would like to contribute toward the cost of this quilt, here is a PayPal link — or message me for an address should you prefer a check. $20/message is suggested by no worries if you cannot afford to donate. We still want your message! This is a crowdfunded thing and some always give more to cover messages for those who are short on funds.
Please note, if you leave a message in PayPal or somewhere other than the comments below, please Kos Mail me to make sure I pick it up.
