From 8/16 to 9/15, donations of $10 or more to Jack Conway's campaign through an Act Blue page or short essays on "What Jack Conway’s Run For the U.S. Senate Means to Me" were counted as chances in a drawing for "From Red to Blue", the quilt signed in 2006 at our first progressive blogging conference.
One donation per person per day was counted -- or one essay per person per day. We had a total of 108 donations and one essay (in the form of a haiku). We did the drawing today! And now it is time to announce the winner.

I would be remiss if I did not publish the essay (in haiku form), submitted by Mataliandy:
Vote Conway not Paul
Aqua bhuddas guarantee
Poor future for all
Once again, I assigned a ticket number to each donation and the essay and asked a neighborhood child to do the drawing...
The winning number correlates with a donation given by Bill in Portland Maine on 9/8/10. The winner is Bill in Portland Maine!
Thanks to Aunt Arctic for designing the quilt and making half the patches, to my sister Ann for helping me assemble the quilt. Thanks to everyone who helped by posting diaries, by helping to keep diaries visible and spreading the word, and for participating in the drawing!
Go Conway!
