Our friend, michelewin, has had a number of traumatic shocks in her life in recent years, shocks that she hasn't had a lot of time to recover from before the next one delivers a heavy blow.
Joan McCarter started the ball rolling on this project for Sen. Reid yesterday with her lovely tribute diary, Community Quilt Project: Let's send a proper Daily Kos thank you to a Democratic giant, Harry Reid. As you may have heard, Sen. Reid has had a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.
Saturday, a gruesome mass murder shocked our nation. In Pittsburgh, PA, eleven innocent people were massacred by a gunman at the Tree of Life Synagogue and six more were injured. There are three floors to this Synagogue, each housing a congregation.
Ann and I made a flying visit to Charleston, SC this past week. A lot of things did not go to plan — but we did get to see Gordon20024 (Archie) and The Marti for a little while on Friday.

belinda: I'm sorry. I'm Belinda Ridgewood, and my quilt was made for me when my mother passed away.
