About The Community Quilt Project

  • The Community Quilt Projects mission is to bring people together in a positive way, to give comfort where we can, and to provide willing quilters with the means to do good works.
  • You, the community, support our work. Your help provides us with materials and supports our hours of work on each quilt project. We are thankful that you keep our needles quilting!
  • Unlike like the sewing bees of old where neighbors came together to quilt in friendship, we are working in a digital age where physical distance does not matter.

Pootie Pads Pounce

Posted in Pootie Pads

My pootie pads arrived at 9 am. Given the fact that I had gone to bed around 4:30 am, in my attempt to avoid a guaranteed migraine, I left the jiffy envelope with the pootie pads on my living room table and went back to bed.

The alarm goes off and my oldest cat came to get me out of bed. I go downstairs preparing to open the envelope to give my kitties their present. This is what awaited me:

Yep, the little beasts threw everything (including the bread holder) off the living room table, opened the jiffy envelope throwing the fuzzy stuff all over the living room. Opened the plastic bag with one of the pads (at least they only chomped on the other two plastic bags), pulled out one of the pads and (these are the two younger cats and the plastic bag), my oldest cat was hiding behind me:
